Dear Acronis members

I am lost with basisc fonctions i would like to achieve with true image.

I have one computer that came with win8 preinstalled and did upgrade to w10 but as this process take time i would like to image the computer to be able to reinstall directly w10 configuration.

I did computer full backup and disks&partitions backup(with all disks selected) and the imaged data are roughly the same size. My idea is to save the whole disk information (recovery...)

What backup mode should i use for a single image use (instand snapshop of my w10 i will store safely then)

i notice that default setup was "incremental" does it meen i should do another backup using "full install"? if someone could help me to understand what setting should i use for disk image( including, recovery partition and everything)?

If you have 2 disks in the system, entire PC will automatically do a disk and partition backup of the 2 disks. If you have only one, Entire PC is the same as doing a full disk and partition backup (all partitions selected).

With ATI you create backup tasks, not individual backups. When you run the task, the backup that is created depends on the type of backup task. If incremental, the first backup is a full backup then the following backups are incremental.

If you select disk and partitions, select the check box at the disk level or make sure you select all partitions.

Remember to test your Aronis rescue medium. Create it, boot the computer on it and verify you can restore a couple of files from your backup. All restores and clones should be done from the rescue medium.
