Still confused about fresh iterations
I have disc backups set for external drives, each of which has a manually assigned letter. Each backup is specific to a manually lettered drive, adn each backup is incrememtal. All works fine until I delete all previous backups from an external drive and try to manually run the backup. I beleive it should create a new ful backup followed by incremntal ones, just as it did whne I first created the backup, but I keep getting a message that the backup has failed becuase Acronis cannot find the .tib file. Pressing ignore sometimes works, but at other times, I have not gotten the ignore button at all and have been forced to delete adn recreate the backup plan from scratch.
There must be a better way for this very, very basic routine. Help, please.

FtrPilot is correct. All backups are recorded in a database. Manually deleting them in Windows does not update the database so they are expected to be there. If you ignore all missing versions, it will remove those from the database and then continue on. Previous versions would allow you to remove certain backup files from within the application and make this database update occur during the process. The ability to remove a specific backup has been removed though so cannot be done in 2015/2016. Feedback is definitely welcome on this and should be submitted through the applicaition so it goes directly to Acronis. We're all users like you and have some insdie track with Acronis, but not like the developers and support engieneers do who receive the feedback subitted through the app.

Thanks to you both. I understand now. I will bring it to Acronis's attention as you suggest.
