Hello everybody,

I am using Acronis TrueImage 2016.
I was able to figure out how to backup to the Synology DS418 NAS DiskStation (FTP or mapped drive)
However, NAS is not recognized when I boot with Acronis Rescue Media disk which makes recovery impossible.
Both, my computer and NAS are connected to the same network.
My PC is Dell XPS x8900, running 64-bit Windows 10.

I would appreciate any advice!

Welcome to these user forums...

The link provided by Steve contains a lot of good information on NAS issues.

One of the first things you should try, when using rescue media, is to access your NAS using its IP address.  After clicking 'Browse'  type in the IP address such as //10.0.0.83/ then hit enter.  ATI should then bring up the login credentials window:

IPAddress1.jpg

After you input your credentials, you should be able to navigate to the desired .tib file.

Using the IP address of the NAS is the way to go. You may also be able to use the NAS name, the default for Synology NAS is \\DISKSTATION\
