Taking several hours for backup to complete vs 30 minutes

Thread needs solution

It used to take 30 minutes for the backup to complete, but it's now taking around 5 hours. I have rebooted with no luck. The backups also seem to just hang there at time until I login and it completes. Looking in Task manage I found some odd things dummy/dummy and I'm not sure if that is normal.

Michael, please download the Log File Viewer app from the link in my signature below, then use this to check for any messages being posted to the service log for your backup task to see if there are any clues there for why it should be taking a lot longer than expected?

The Task Manager image is a little strange, not something I remember having seen, but then again I am not sure that I have had reason to check task manager when a backup was running, so not something I have looked for either.

What the image does show is the Script identifier 87c493e6-5a74-4d2a-9a58-c24b800a9af6 which you can check for in your C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts folder - look for a .TIS file with the same identifier, then open this is Notepad and check that this is your backup task - the task name is shown near the top of the file.

A further point to check is the size of your backup image file on your backup drive - is this still the expected size or has it increased significantly in size.  If the latter, that could suggest the backup is running in sector-by-sector mode due to hitting a bad sector in the source data.
