TI 2016 - Unable to change NAS path

Thread needs solution

Hi All,

I changed the UNC path of my backup to a new NAS location. The old NAs is decommisioned as well as it's path. I have two backup tasks where I edited the "Network place" to the new NAS path. Unfortunatley it continues asking for creditials of the old path. If I start a backup it gets an error opening the file. It says to click Ignore but my options are only Retry or Cancel. I even deleted the smb entries in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Acronis\Connections\smb but it didn't help.

I have several systems with Acronis where I need to update the backup path. Do I need to recreate new tasks just or a NAS path change? There must be an easier way.

Thank you for any help,

John

John, I would recommend using the option to Clone the task settings when making this type of change, then change the target path to your new NAS in those cloned settings.  Note: do not perform a backup immediately after cloning the settings, but delete the original settings first, then you can rename the cloned settings before running it for the first time.
