TI 2016 Windows vs USB (Offline) Backup
I had a older version of TI and found that offline backups with a usb where more reliable then the in Windows BU's so this has been a old habit of mine.
I purchased TI 2016 and complete a Complete Disk Backup within Windows (TI) in 8 minutes. Everything when perfect but I decided to do a offline (from rescue disk) Backup just to be on the safe side. However, even though I had my USB 3 External in the same port the process was going to take over an hour so I canceled out.
I'm satisfied with TI 2016 but am just curious as to why the in Windows BU and much faster then the rescue disk backup. Any know? Also, has anyone tested to determine if one method is more reliable then the other?

The most probably answer is that the backup was actually occuring at usb2 speeds as there may not have been usb3 driver in the CD.
Why don't you try using a WinPE Recovery CD. Or, better yet, make a Mustang PEBuilder recovey cd and you can add your own usb3 drivers.

I agree that it appeared to be at usb2 speeds but the rescue disk was actually made using TI 2016 Rescue Disk on a USB3 Drive. So I had two USB3 drives connected. However, the destination USB3 drive was the same one used as with the Windows TI 2016 Backup so I don't understand the difference. **** Unless the rescue media didn't created by TI 2016 didn't have the proper drivers.
Either way, I think that it should have work but am happy with the Windows TI 2016 backup so hopefully the image will work when I need it. :)
