.tib files not appearing in File Explorer.

Thread needs solution

Hi,

If I create a new .tib on a local HDD, everything goes okay, the archive validates, but it is not visible in File Explorer.

If I create the image using ATI on a bootable DVD then the image is not visible; however, when I run chkdsk on the drive, it reports the file as an unnecesary index entry and deletes it. If I create the image using ATI from within Windows 10 then the file does not exist at all; even running chkdsk does not see anything.

The disk has loads of space (2TB) but it has a GPT partition table. Could this be the problem?

Note that I have managed to get a couple of images successfully created. I have no idea what I did differently though.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Kind wishes ~ Patrick

This sounds like a possible file association or a view issue. You should check the association of .tib files in Explorer.
