True Image 2016 Backup fails

Thread needs solution

Hi,

When I run 2016 backup (which I've done many times), I notice that my pc Windows 10 sign in screen pops up. I have to sign in and nothing is backed up. Maybe another Windows 10 mess?  Please advise.

Thanks,

Joe

Joe, sorry but we will need some more information here about this problem.

What type of backup are you performing, is this scheduled or run manually, what build version of ATIH 2016 are you using?

When you say that your Windows 10 sign in screen pops up, does this indicate that the system has rebooted or recovered from a problem?

Please download the Log File Viewer app and use this to check the logs produced by Acronis when your backup tasks are run.

It may also be worth generating an Acronis System Report zip file and posting that to the forum, as this will also include the Windows Event Logs which may show if the sign in screen is as a result of the system restarting or recovering from an error?

Which sign in are you talking about - Windows signin or Acronis?  Could you post a couple of screenshots for more clarification?

FYI... if you don't sign into ACronis with your online account, you will always be greeted with the prompt to do so when you launch the Acronis console (at least for now - many users have asked to have this behavior changed).  If you sign in with your online account, even if you don't have a cloud subscription, you won't get that login prompt anymore.  There is no way to mute or hide this logon at the first launch if you have not logged into the application with your Acronis account.
