True IMage 2016 - Full Backup but too many .TIB files

Thread needs solution

Good afternoon all,

I was attempting to backup my father's PC and I did a FULL backup but it created over 11 .TIB files in the process.  Is there a way to limit the .TIB files?  (This is using True Image Home 2016}

His PC has never had a backup on it so it was not part of a FULL backup with Incrementals.  His was only trying for a FULL backup only. (Entire PC to an external drive)

I don't know what I am missing but I want to make sure he has a successful backup.

Could someone please help me out with this one?

Thank you so much in advance,

Dave P.

Dave, please download the Log File Viewer app from the link in my signature below, this will help show if there are any errors that may cause multiple .tib backup files to be created.

A screen shot showing the files on the external backup drive would also help us understand what you are seeing.

What sizes are the files?

Did you select to use any specific sizes for the backup files via the Backup Splitting option in the Advanced configuration page?

What partition format is used on your external backup drive, i.e. FAT32, NTFS ?

FAT32 limits files to a maximum 4GB size.
NTFS limits files to a maximum 2TB size.
