True Image 2016: NAS backup process is now at a crawl, if it does not fail

Thread needs solution

Using TI '16 to back up a network NAS (1TB) to an external usb backup.  Used to work fairly well, but now times out and fails.  Trying now to an internal SSD, but while it has not failed, the remaining time is now at 1 day 16 hours and only at 95 GB.  This is via an ethernet connection.  Downloaded the MVP User Tools to read the log files, but really have no idea what I am looking for.  The other backup routines (C: to a sub external) works fine.  Suggestions?  Dan

Hello Dan,

Ensure that your network connection to the NAS is stable. Any interruptions or fluctuations in the network can cause timeouts. Consider testing the network speed and stability between your computer and the NAS. What's the exact error code?

For the internal SSD backup, the extremely long estimated time might indicate an issue. Confirm that the SSD has sufficient free space and is not experiencing any hardware problems. Also, consider the size of the data; if there is a massive amount of data, that time frame can be expected. If the backup size is large, consider splitting it into smaller parts. This can sometimes help avoid timeouts and improve performance.

Best regards.
