True Image 2021 Create Bootable Media Doesn't Work

Thread needs solution

I've wasted countless CDs and DVD's trying to make a bootable CD or DVD, as it asks press any key to boot from CD/DVD yet boots to windows partition.

I've installed windows adk kit etc with no success

Ian, welcome to these public User Forums.

I would recommend using a small USB stick for the rescue media rather than using a CD / DVD disc.  Some systems have issues with booting from optical media or may not recognise the keyboard correctly at that point.

I typically use a 16GB memory stick but you can use as small as 2GB and up to 32GB sizes.

See KB 65508: Acronis True Image 2021: how to create bootable media and KB 59877: Acronis True Image: how to distinguish between UEFI and Legacy BIOS boot modes of Acronis Bootable Media

Can you get usb version with winpe as Linux is deaaaaaaad sloooooow

Yes, if you choose the 'Simple' version and have the USB memory stick connected, it will create a WinPE media using files from your Windows Recovery Environment.   You just need to tell the builder what the USB drive letter is to write to.

Ian, you would need to use a DVD to create rescue media from ATI 2021 as the size exceeds the size of a standard CD.  You can test by creating an ISO image instead of burning direct to disc.

Please try using a USB stick instead of an optical disc.
