True Image stopped working and crashes when I try to open it

Thread needs solution

Recently when I tried to launch True Image 2015 I got a message that says an unexpected error occured and it presents a screen to describe what happened and send to tech support.  I am not even able to type in that window because Windows also brings up a dialog saying the program has stopped working and the program needs to be closed. 

So I can't launch it and automatic backups have also stopped working.

The only thing I can think of is that recently I had shut the machine down in the middle of a scheduled back up and that backup was stopped but it did seem to resume fine when I started the machine back up.

It seems like a may need to reinstall.

Should I be upgrading to the newest version at this point?

Is there anything I can try other than reinstalling?

You have accidentally posted in the ATI 2016 froum rather than the ATI 2017. The first thing I would try is to do a repair installation. Get the latest version of the installation file (log into you Acronis account and download it if you do not have it handy), then run the installation and you will be asked if you want to repair the insallation (or uninstall), select repair. See if that sorts things out.
