TrueImage.exe is not responding, hangs finding directory structure

Thread needs solution

TI 2016 hangs trying to display directory structure on local and networked drives. If I set up a new backup task and select the "Browse" button for either source or destination, the program hangs. It does not appear to have any activity when viewed with the Windows task manager. The machine runs W10 and TI2016 is up to date. Any help in debugging would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Scott

Scott, what specific build of ATI 2016 do you have installed and what version of Windows 10 is this running on?

I am not aware of any recent issues of the type you are describing and haven't seen other users reporting the same in the forums.

The final build for ATI 2016 is #6595 as shown on the Account information page.

For Windows 10, the latest stable release is 1709 for the Fall Creators Update, else 1703 for the earlier Creators Update.

Acronis do not support running ATI on any Windows 10 Insiders builds where the 17017 & 17025 builds caused system crashes when using ATI, but seem to be OK on the latest 17035 build.

If you have ATI 2016 #6595 and either Windows 10 1703 or 1709 and still have this issue, then I would recommend doing a Repair install of ATI by downloading the full installer from your Acronis account, then installing this from an Administrator account over the top of the existing ATI application.

Thanks! A couple of W10 updates seems to have solved the problem.
