TruImageMonitor.exe Runs Continuosly at 15% of CPU

Thread needs solution

Hello all.  I just upgraded to True Image 2016 and my machine has become more sluggish because TruImageMonitor.exe runs all the time at 15%-20% of CPU!  True Image is not doing a backup - i have those scheduled for late at night.  Anyone else seen this?  Any idea how to stop it from running like this all the time?  Thanks.

If you have a Non-stop backup or secure zone running, this looks like normal behavior according to this forum post (which is related to an older version, but should still apply).

I am using neither on any of my systems and the process is at 0% CPU usage when backup are not actively running.

Per the forum and Acronis engineer response, the service is not required and can be stopped if destired.  However, if you do stop it, you will not be able to stop the backup job while it is running or make other changes until an ongoing backup task has completed:

I could not find anymore information on the service itself in the forums.

Yes indeed you can turn off the statup item "true image monitor" which initiates a background process, and you can turn some off some servicesm except the scheduler service, which is required, whether your run backups manually or on an automated schedule.
