Trying to restore or clone a disk, but Acronis hangs at boot

Thread needs solution

Hello all,

I'm trying desperatetly to make Acronis works at boot.
I have the Acronis loader that starts and I can then see the Acronis menu.
I then select True image (64 bits) and i then see the Acronis logo with "a please wait...."
And that last looooooooon minutes and then I have 3 read errors.

What can I do ? What's going on ?

I have a Windows 10 working perfectly (no chkdsk errors on the C drive) and Acronis can do backup apparently without errors. I cannot clone a drive from Windows 10 (it says that it has to reboot to run which ends up in the same issue above)

I've heard that sometime USB disks may create issues. I therefore unplugged my USB disks, but same trouble.

Any ideas ???

Today I can backup, but cannot restore or clone due to that problem.
Thx for your help

A clone or restore of a system disk performed from within the Windows application must reboot into a Linux based environment in order to complete the task. Your issue sounds like your machine has trouble booting into that environment. Create a Recovery Media on DVD or USB flash drive using the Media Builder tool found under the Tools option in the application and attempt to boot your machine using that media. If you can do this then do so to perform the tasks you are attempting. If you cannot it may be necessary to create WinPE media to boot the machine to perform such functions.
