Unable to Run Recover Mode

Thread needs solution

When I try to recover from True Image , I get the following error message ( see attachment ) . I'm not sure if it's an issue with Acronis or my computer . However , computer seems be running OK  . Can anyone advise how to overcome this issue .

Tony, what are you trying to recover and how are you trying to do this?

The message just says that ATIH 2015 cannot open a specific file from F:\Acronis Backups\Laptop 9 Aug 2015_full_b1_s1_v1.tib - have you opened this folder and checked to see if this file exists?

If you are trying to recover individual files or folders, try double-clicking on the .tib file in Windows Explorer and see if you can navigate through the file contents in that way?

If you are wanting to recover your Windows OS disk or partition, then this should always be started from the Acronis bootable Rescue Media where possible to avoid any problems with Acronis modifying your system boot configuration data.

If the above file is not found in the folder on your F: drive, then please run a Validation for the backup task that was used to create it and take the Ignore option for any other missing files that are highlighted.

Thanks Steve ,

To answer two of your questions : the file does exist and I was tryimg to recover the whole system . I wanted to  test before I have a real issue . I will try using

the bootable rescue disc , as you suggest , and see if this works .
