Unable to use Recover tab without Acronis terminating - need to restore a drive!

Thread solved

This is driving me nuts!  I need to restore a second hard drive on my windows 11 machine.  I replaced the drive. When I click the "recover" tab in Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office the application terminates. The backup sits on a QNAP NAS.  I can access the files through the Acronis interface, but am unable to get the recover tab to respond.  I copied the TIB file to my local machine thinking I might be able to just copy all of the files for that drive from the TIB, but it looks like that approach works for for a file or two, but hangs when you attempt to try an entire drive.

I went to another machine in my network a discovered it has the same problem.  If I click recover, the application hangs and terminates.

I just need to restore the volume ... any suggestions?

Hello Frank.

Please try to recover using the bootable media:

https://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/ATI2016/index.html#…

https://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/ATIH2014/index.html…

If you have a clone and not a backup, please also check this manual:

https://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/ATI2016/index.html#…

Thanks in advance!

I took your advise and built a thumb drive with Acronis Cyber Protect and Universal install on it.  Cyber Protect was able to access the shared volume on the NAS and I was able to restore the drive.  I'm back in business!  Thank you.  Still not happy that the windows version won't even let me go to the recovery tab without the application terminating.  I know it has worked in previous versions as I have used it before to do restores.

I am glad the issue is resolved after applying a new B.media.

Regarding the issue I can't really tell you why it's happening. That seems a crash/hang, happens this product isn't supported anymore and doesn't have updates/maintenance so the troubleshooting process turns complicated.

Thanks in advance!
