Universal Restore Media Builder ERROR on Win10

Thread solved

Trying to install the Universal Restore Bootable Media Builder (German version) on Win10 gives me always "unexpected error code 2503 & 2502" and aborts - what to do?

I installed it on two Win 10 Pro 64 systems without this happening (system uses English USA).

Both were upgraded from Win 8.1 Pro using downloaded media rather than windows update.

While on the desktop try the steps below.

1. Hold Ctrl+Alt and press Esc.

2. Locate “Windows Explorer” under “Windows processes”, now right click on it and click “End task”.

3. Now click on “File” at the top of the window and click “Run new task”.

4. Type “explorer.exe” without the quotes and tick the box labelled “Create this task with administrative privileges” and click “OK”.

Try doing it this way:

1. open Task Manager
2. File menu => New task
3. Explorer =>choose file
4. Check Run admin
5. Confirm

do not bother with all this crap. version 2016 is so full of bugs it would sink at sea within 5 mins of launchin
to create recover WinPE disk under Windows 10 do the following
Run the Acronis recovery disk Winpe item and allow it to download the Acronis add on file
The close down Acronis
download the Windows 10 ADK kit from Microsoft
Run the ADKSETUP.EXE file downloaded, then follow the instructions, ensure you selct from the tickboxes only the item related to WinPE
Reboot your system after install and then run the Acronis recovery disk item again.
Recovery will not ask you to download anything else if you have installed the Windows files correcly
Should then give you options to create dvd, WinPE boot iso or WinPE .wim file
This bugged version of Acronis insists on trying to download adk version 8.1 Dont do it.
So come on you guys at Acronis try testing fully the software before you release and ask folk to pay for it
Is that not why you asked folk like me to beta test it

O yea. I helped develop Windows 7, 8.0, 8.1 and version 10. . So been here before with same issues as release before 2016
Otherwise best software i have used for years.
