Updated to Build 6571 - program stopped working - repeated error message
I was on Build 6569 and recently upgraded to Build 6571 as suggested. Now Acronis True Image will not backup at all giving this error message: "The last backup failed. It will be restarted at hh:mm" . I am running Win 10 32bit.
I had not previously changed any backup settings. There is enough free space on the destination disk, I removed all old backups, I deleted and recreated the backup definition - still the same error message! (I have taken screen shots)
This is clearly a problem created by Acronis but my "Standard Support" has expired after 30 days!! - why should I have to pay for any support while I still have a valid license, I am a loyal customer and always purchased upgrades?!
Is anybody else experiencing this problem? Can I restore to an older version?
Reliabilty for me is most important and if such problems persist I am not willing to pay Acronis to fix their own software faults and will look for another product.

Personally, I woudl not select "entire pc" as the backup type. It is probably trying to backup some other drive that it does not have access to that is currently attached. Instead of "entire pc" select a "disks and partitions" backup adn select just the specific disk you instead to backup with all partions selected under it. This will ensure that it only ever tries to backup that particular disk and not others that may get attached later on that could cause this type of issue.
Are you using validation right after the backup? There are some instances where immediate validation fails, but if you turn off validation in the backup and then manually validate afterwards, all is well.
It may be useufl to download FTRPilot's log viewer app (see the stickies in the 2016 forum). Then check the logs for more specific messages about the cause of the failure. You can save the logs with it and post them here for some additional review.
If that does not work (which I think it will), you can try repairing the install as well. Download the latest full installer of 6571 from your account. Run it by right clicking and "run as administratoIr" to make sure it has the full permissions possible (even if already logged in with an admin account). Then select the "repair" option.
This won't guarantee that the backup will run though. How much free space is on your destination disk and how much is it trying to backup? Have you changed the backup disk, or has it picked up a new drive letter in Windows automatically? Is this a network share backup where the credentials for password was changed recently?
