upgrade from 2010 to 2016

Thread needs solution

Can it be any more difficult to ask a simple question!! Geez!!

I just upgraded from 2010 to 2016. I had registered 2010 under a previously used email address. When I upgraded to 2016 I used my new email address. Now it appears that it created two accounts. I cannot login under the new email and the old login with the previous email doesn't show the 2016 as a registered product.

How do I straighten this out?

Go to  http://www.acronis.com/en-us/personal/computer-backup/

At the top, click on Support, then click on Product Updates.

Next click on Login to Your Account.

Click on the left Personal Profile.

It is here, you can change your Email Address, to your New Email Address. In order to change the old Email Address, you need to furnish the New Email Address, as well as the current password that you just used.

If it doesn't accept the New Email Address, because it is currently registered, then click on Get Support then Contact Support. From the Drop Down choose Customer Care then click Registration and Account Issues, scroll down to Chat Now or use Email Support.

Email Support might be better, so you can keep a record of everything.
