Upgrade from TI2015 to TI2016?
I recently had some issues with TI2015.6613 - uninstalled and reinstalled 3 (or more) times. It finally seems to be working on Win10-64. For me, backup software should be the most reliable software on a system.
How is the UI on TI2016? Same as TI2015?
I liked TI2014, and found the UI changes from TI2014 to TI2015 difficult to work with.
I like the idea of a defined backup, but under TI2015, I could not name the backup using date and time, and the software broke if a backup was renamed or removed outside the UI.
How is TI2016 doing in these regards? Is it worth the upgrade?
Opinions most appreciated.

Thank you for your help.
Any idea on backup speed?
One of the bullet points on Acronis website is 'backup speed 50% faster than the competition.

I am not in a position to comment of relative backup speed. The speed does not cause me any issues (other than when backing up to the cloud, and there the problem is upload speed limit imposed by my ISP). You can modulate the speed by changing the compression level and task priority level when creating the backup task. When doing so you need to consider how powerful your computer is.

I have a Surface 3 and was "forced" to upgrade from ATI 2015 to ATI 2016 because bitlocker was not supported resulting in huge image files sector by sector I could not store in the removable flash drive D.
Now I have upgraded and 33 GByte on drive C took 1 hour and 20 minutes to the flash drive D resulting in one 25 GByte tib image. With C also the recovery volume and EFI-System volume was imaged. The image was secured by a password. Opening the tib file with the explorer is not posible, only by mounting with ATI 2016.
I did not found an option to compress the resulting tib image.

It is possible that the option to change the compression level is not present when bitlocker is used. However, my HP Edge 8 tablet (originally Win 8.1 home 32, now Win 10 Home 32) has bitlocker installed (must be a special OEM version as I thought it only shipped with Pro versions) and I can select the compression level on ATI 2016 it is under options in the Advance TAB, the setting you want is "performance".

Hi Ian, WGlobal,
the trick is that compression level can be set only while initial backup plan creation and compression cannot be changed in already existing backup plans.
Thank you,

I recently upgraded to 2016 and can see the manage my backups from console which I selected. However in the console it says I have no devices and the option to "Add Device" which I selected
I get further option (top right) of device type "Windows, MAC etc" and choosing Windows it downloads an .exe file which when I run it proceeds to UNINSTALL Acronis True Image
I'm clearly doing something very wrong here?

Thank you,
So that's why it keeps disappearing... *shakes head*
