Urgent! Recovery not possible anymore
Hi,
I'm getting really crazy. I worked now several years with a backup software which worked always fine. Then someone told me "take Acronis..". So I tried Acronis, loaded the Trial Version for 30 days to test the software. Since the beginning of the year 2016 I made now daily a backup with "True Image 2016" of my external harddrive. The software is installed on my Macbook and the 300GB big backup file (.tib) is on my NAS Synology. The backup himself never made an error.
Yesterday I destroyed one extremely important file on my external harddrive and I thought "no matter, you have backup". Then I tried to recover the file. Notice, the file is 27GB big. But the worste case came. I cannot recover the file. I can open the backup file (.tib) with "True Image" and can see inside the .tib-File all the files, including the urgently needed 27GB file, but it's not possible to recover anymore.
If I start to recover it takes 20 minutes and then I get always the message "Wiederherstellung des Elements "xxxxxx" is fehlgeschlagen - Das Ende der Datei ist erreicht worden / "The end of the file has been reached"
I'm more than upset. Many years I never had problems with my old backup software, now I use Acronis and this stupid software is not working correctly.
Which solution is possible, urgently, to recover this file?

NO, I'm sorry. Here I get always the message that I should search Volume1?
I don't understand what is Volume1. I startet, round about 25 days ago, the first backup, a new backup.. totally new. Since this time I make more or less each day one backup.. I never deleted something or moved something.
I really regret already the fault, to take this stupid software which has so many issues.. unbelievable.

Can you find a backup file with *b1_s1_v1.tib in the name? This is the first backup of the set, try accessing that

This works maybe on windows platform. But in my backup folder are only 2 files inside.
- harddisk1.tib
- harddisk1.tib.metadata
Don't forget, I installed Acronis True Image on a Macbook, so on OS10.11.x
