USB / External Drives Run Extremely Slow

Since installing version 2016, my USB flash drives take over 15 minutes to give me directory list. It is like Acronis is continuing to try to back-up my computer to my flash drive, even after I have terminated Acronis and rebooted several times!

I have found a temporary work around for the USB problem:
Go to "My Computer" / "This PC" , right click and select Manage.
Select Services and stop all the services starting with "Acronis" - fortunately they are at the top.

This is only temporary as the services are re-started next restart.

I hope Acronis can figure out a fix for this so stopping their services is not needed!

You should make sure that your machine bios is updated to the latest available version as well as the drivers for your disk controllers and USB. Some users have found that in doing a Win 10 upgrade that device drivers are not updated or installed properly causing various issues including slow operation.
