Using Removable Media (external drive) in computer without ATI loaded in it

Thread needs solution

I am trying out the trial version of Acronis True Image 2016 and would like advise configuring my backups.

I will be backing up to two external hard drives, one for odd months and the second for even months.  This way I maintain two backup copies of my important files.

I will be using no compression and want to be able to open the backup on  computers that don't have the Acronis True Image program loaded on them.  Are there .exe files that I should put on the external drives so I can open the backup files directly from the removable media?

Thank you for your help.

Milomannn, welcome to these user forums.

If you are intending to backup to two different external hard drives, then it is recommended to pre-allocate different drive letters for each of these drives and then to setup separate backup tasks, one per drive.

For your second question, sorry, but it is not possible to access the files contained in the Acronis .TIB backup archive files without the use of either the installed program or by using the offline bootable rescue media.

There are no separate executable files that you can put on your external drives to use to open the backup archive files.
