Wake up from sleep mode
Hello,
my backup runs at night, when the laptop is in sleep mode. This works fine, but it does not, if the power is not connected. So, what do I have to do to make that work.
Thanks.

Thanks for answering.
I do have the latest build 6571 installed.
The laptop is in the same mode, no mather if power is connected or not. In the advanced energy setting the setting for battery and power is the same: "never" go into hiberlation mode. And beside that the battery has more then 90% and still the backup does not start.

Gery, do you have hybrid sleep enabled in the power settings? Do you see settings similar to mine in the attached screen shots?
If your settings for battery and power are the same then it should behave the same regardless but given that you say all works OK with power on, but not without, it still suggests that there is a difference here somewhere?

Gery, there seems to be a problem with the Forum software today - it posted a message earlier about undergoing maintenance and perhaps they have broken something in the process! I am seeing the same 404 error even for older attachments that have been showing fine before.

Not only the forum...and not only today...I wonder if I will have a positiv experience with Acronis one day.
But thanks for your help, as soon as I can see your image, I will compare it with my settings.

Now I can see your settings. My settings are Off, Off, Never, Never.

Steve---
Any chance that the "undergoing maintanance" you mentioned above inludes removal of the "mark all as read" button
(or however it was worded)??
It seems to have suddenly vanished from my forum displays!!
Thanks......... Bob

Bob, unfortunately Acronis are in the process of changing over forum software and that is one of the bits that got lost in the transition - the developers are aware and should be bringing it back along with fixing a few other problems with the new software too. Don't know any timescale for this.

Nice that you talk about the forum in my topic, but my concerning is still not solved.
I can't find a difference in windows between power connected and not connected. Has anybody the same experience or can someone definitely say that Acronis wakes up from the sleep mode on his computer if power is not connected?
Thanks

What are your power states listed as under control panel >>> power managment / power options>>> change plan settings >>> change advanced power settings >>>
sleep >>> sleep after
sleep >>> allow wake timers
and how do they differ in settings when listed on AC and when listed on battery?
There are different settings for when the system is on AC power or on battery power for laptops. Additionally, there are different level of power states after a certain period of time. If the system is not on AC power, there may be a more restrictive power setting that is putting the system into a deeper power state that can only be awoken from physical input to the system (keybarod/mouse/touchpad) - especially if the system is going into hibernation (as a reault of not being on AC power), instead of in sleep.

Thanks very very much. That was it. The "allow wake timer" was disabled.
It now works fine :-)
