what is the point of the 'reconfigure' option for 'add existing backup'?

Thread needs solution

Since all I was able to make it do the last time I played with it was to make an entire new backup from scratch, rather than do something useful such as start a new series of diff or inc backups off a full one.

It seems like an odd exception to the interface simplification that seems to be the main idea behind 2015 and 2016.

Hello Avery,

As I understand you would like to know how to continue to create the versions of you existing full backup after adding it to Acronis 2016?

I will be glad to respond to all your questions!

In order to do the differential and incremental versions of existing full backup, you need to “reconfigure” the options http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/ATI2016/#7957.html.

The list of available options you can find here http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/ATI2016/#7940.html
