Windows 10 Incompatability ?????

Thread needs solution

I have been using True Image 2014 and then 2015 without issue on my Windows 8 64bit machines.

After Upgrading to windows 10 x64 pro (As a Clean install) I re installed TI 2015 and started getting intermittent frequent hanging, freezing of the PC. I upgraded to TI 2016 assuming any compatibility issues would have been resolved and continued to get the same problems. I have just installed the latest November (threshold 2) update to windows 10 and still the problems persist. I have now turned  off TI and although the freezing has stopped , I am not backing up my data

Checking your forums , it appears a number of people are having similar problems  , is there a fix ?

Any help appreciated

Regards John

Well, I'm having the same problem. I've reinstalled TI 2016 that I have 3 licensed copies of, and it simply won't open on my Acer laptop. Nothing happens. Apparently we are on our own for figuring out what the problem is, I've been digging through help files and forum postings and don't have a clue.

Hello!

John, it looks like you currenly have an open ticket with the support department, hopefully you'll manage to find a solution to the issues you're experiencing.

Fred, could you describe your situation in more detail? Did the issue appear after reinstalling True Image? If I understand correctly, you try to run the program and nothing happens, is that correct? May I ask you to gather a Process Monitor trace? The procedure is described here. If you can do that I will send you the instructions on how to upload the created trace.

I'm running windows 10 64 bit on an Acer aspire 4830TG-6808 laptop. Briefly, what happens is if I attempt to run Acronis Trueimage 2016, there is a fair amount of disk activity, but the application does not actually open. I can get it to open ONCE by uninstalling, then re-installing it. I'm trying to deccipher the process monitor trace procedure now.
