Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit Disk Image Questions

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I wonder if you can please kindly help or point me in the right direction using Acronis True Image 2016 (32-bit / 64-bit).

I have installed Window 10 Pro 64-Bit on a 64-bit PC, Quad Core 2.4GHz CPU, 8GB RAM, SATA 1TB HDD. On this Windows 10 boot disk installation, I have used the unused disk space as an extra NTFS formatted drive partition-letterr so that there are now 3 partitons on this disk (boot, data, and Windows 10 Pro 64-bit Operatimg System files).

I have a Universal Restore Boot DVD created from True Image 2016 including with all the available programs selected (ie. 32-bit and 64-bit), ie. Disk Director 12, True Image 2016 and Universal Restore. Or should I be using boot DVD created from True Image 2016 only instead of using the Universal Restore option?

Can you please kindly advise as to which is the best method to take a full disk image copy of this Windows 10 Pro 64-bit installation? Or is the sector-by-sector method, or disk clone method better using True Image 16 64-bit? Should I be using the 64-bit program versions instead of 32-bit?

Many thanks in advance, for all your support.

With kind regards

True Image is the best at creating a full disk backup image of the entire drive.  You will not need Universal Restore unless at some time you must replace your motherboard.  Disk Director can be handy if you need to work with a secondary disk and need partitioning tools.

As for 32 or 64 bit versions, if you have a UEFI booted machine then use the 64 bit version.  Otherwise the 32 bit version should be used.
