Windows 8.1 is not shutting down under new Build 5634

Thread needs solution

It seems that since the newest Update of Acronis True Image 2016 Build 5634 the PC is when used more than 10 Minutes sometimes not shutting down: the screen "Acronis True Image 2016 is ending its processes" and "this need up to two minutes" stays forever.
I would not like to end the processes of acronis always befor shutting down the PC via Task Manager, because so far this seems for me to be the only way of shutting down the PC.

Yes yes ............ I was about to report this problem too ............

2016 is a load of problem ............... how can roll out just like that ...........

2015 is so stable ..

Such issues are sometimes related to an uncompleted prior task. These tasks are often incremental backup consolidation or validation. You should attempt to check each backup task to determine if those tasks have completed. The application GUI will display a green check mark by tasks which are completed and those which are not will not have the green check mark.

I am experiencing the system shutdown hang indicating that ATI 2016 is working on a task, and I have none scheduled. I have only one backup task, which is run manually, and it has a green checkmark next to it.

It may be possible that anti-virus applications are causing problems with TI processes due to conflicts. The Article link below describes some of the more common anti-virus applications and suggested solutions to conflicts.

I have no task running.......... and I using windows defender only.........
Still sometime shut down..... it stop and wait ........... and wait.......... until I hard press button to shutdown....

Anti-Virus apps commonly run at machine startup and monitor on a live on all the time basis by default unless you have disabled such feature set and indeed it is possible to do that with your anti-virus application then that application can and will be triggered by events it deems as questionable and will block such activities and may not necessarily provide you with a message that it is doing so.

So if you are using an anti-virus app, and you certainly should be, you should do some investigating.
