Windows Explorer crashes on .tib double click

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I have searched in the forum but I couldn't find any reference on my issue.  I installed trial version few days ago and I created several backups with some differential backups as well.  Unfortunately I cannot open any of them by double clicking, windows explorer hangs on few seconds and then it crashes.  Of course the files work inside Acronis True Image.

OS: Windows 10 x64

As you are running the trial product you can receive direct support from Acronis support for any problems you encounter as per article: 18623: How to get Technical Support: Tips, Tricks and Useful Information which states:

2.    Trial product support
- Related to the issue with the trial version of Acronis Products
- free of charge
- valid within trial period
- 12x5
- provided via e-mail and chat
Response time:
-  3 business days via e-mail
 - immediate via chat

One further thing you can try is to download and install the TIB Mounter patch advised in post: https://forum.acronis.com/forum/116874#comment-357378 which has the following statement:

We have been able to reproduce the issue with mounting incremental backups as well and fixed it,
please find updated version of tib_mounter driver at  
It could be installed over any version of Acronis True Image 2016 as well.

You have an issue with the shell extensions installation and/or filter drivers. Try to uninstall the program, reboot and reinstall. Reason can include interference from other drivers and/or security software.

Thank you very much, that solved the problem, actually I ran the setup again chose Repair and without restart problem solved :)
