Acronis 2017 Backup File

Thread needs solution

I have been using ATIH 2017 on both a Desktop pc and a Laptop pc. Each computer is running Windows 10 Pro.

I have always been able to both display the contents and download individual files or folders from a backup TIB file.

This past week I installed Microsoft Office Pro 2019 and began experiencing problems.

On my desktop pc, I am NOT able to use Windows Explorer to view the contents of a backed up TIB file.

I am not even able to select Windows Explorer to view the file. It somehow had defaulted to Internet Explorer.

I can restore a full backup with no problems.

On my laptop pc, I can use Windows Explorer to view the contents of a backed up TIB file and also select any file or folder.

I can restore a full backup from my SSD drive after multiple attempts.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions of what might have cause the problem or how to resolve it?

I have removed MS Office 2019 totally

Mickey, the ability to view Acronis archive file contents from within Explorer comes from its integration with the Windows Shell, so it seems that installing MS Office 2019 has changed something in that regard which is strange - I have MS Office 2019 installed on my own PC and haven't seen this issue.

The answer is to perform a Repair Install of ATI 2017 to reinstate the shell integration.
