Acronis 2017 has stopped working--compatibility issue

I was doing weekly backups, but Acronis has stopped working. It seems to be a compatibility issue. It was installed on my Windows 7 machine, but when the compatibility screen pops up, Windows 7 is not on the list--only prior versions of Windows like 98 and Vista. So I am unable to choose Windows 7 as the operating system.

How do I get it to work again?

ATI 2017 is fully compatible with Windows 7 without the need to change the program compatibility options for this - these may not include the current installed OS version as the option is really intended to allow for programs created for older versions of OS to work.

I would recommend doing a Repair Install of ATI 2017 as per KB 60915: Acronis True Image: repairing program settings - which has a number of options you can try.
