Acronis 2017, No Icon On System Tray, Windows 7

Thread needs solution

Hi, when I run a backup there is not system tray icon showing that indicates Acronis is doing a backup. I used to use AH 2011, and when I started  backup I could close the window down and the icon would remain in the system tray ad disappear when the backup finished.

Now, when I do the same thing, the is no icon, and I have to just minimize the program to check how far along it is.

Any help is appreciated

Bernie, welcome to these User Forums.

The system tray icon for a running ATI 2017 backup task should be present and shown.

Please see forum topic: Win 7 Taskbar  from another user in the 2018 Forum on this same subject and try the suggestions offered there.

Hi, I have done what that link said, I repaired the package, and started a test bckup to an external drive, shut down AHI 2017, and there is no icon on the system tray for me to keep tabs on how far along the backup is. Used to I could just put my munse pointer on that icin and it would inform me what percent is finished.

Addendum:: After restarting the laptop, it seems the repair process "took" and now all is working flawlessly, thanks for the help

Bernie, good to hear the icon is back as expected, thanks for the feedback.
