Thread needs solution

Every time I launch the software it has a login box pop up

Is there any way of getting rid of it

I do not want cloud backup and do not want an Acronis login, I just wanta  stand alone software

Would appreciate your help

C Knight, the only sure method of getting rid of the login box is to sign in with your Acronis account credentials (where you should have registered the software).  This does not mean that you are committed to using the Acronis Cloud services, but it does mean that you will be informed when any updates to the software are available.

Without logging in the login box will be presented and I am not aware of any method of avoiding this, though this has been raised in the forums a number of times over the last few versions of the product where Cloud functions have been integrated.

Recommend that you submit Feedback to Acronis about this aspect of the product using the Feedback tool you can find in the GUI Help section.  You could open a support case with Acronis if you feel very strongly about this but I would suspect that you will get the same answer, but please feedback to us here if you are given a way of doing this.

Thank you very much indeed for your reply Steve, I really appreciate it

I will give negative feedback to Acronis because it is very annoying. I bought V2017 as a one off and have no intention of using cloud.

I do not see why I should be forced to provide my personal data to Acronis just to get rid of an annoying pop up box that I will never use

I should have stuck with 2013 version

Thanks so much

Charles

Well I contacted support ( I was forced to open an account to contact them )

They confirmed the pop up cannot be disabled

But VERY ANNOYINGLY - by creating an account to contact support they gave me a "free trial" of cloud - the very thing I did not want

There is no option to delete the free trial and no option to delete the account i only created in order to contact them.

Acronis have no respect for personal data or personal preferences and seem intent on trying to take over

I will never ever use Acronis again and would never ever recomend them to anyone else

Thanks and appreciation to fellow forum users

Charles

Charles, a free trial of Acronis Cloud is for 30 days only, after which it ends and any data stored in the Cloud is deleted.

There is no personal data stored unless you upload that to the Cloud, which you clearly state that you have no intention of doing.  The personal data you provided to create the Acronis account are only used for that purpose and is really no different than that asked by many other companies.
