Acronis true image 2017 PC Mobile backup

Hi All

I have been using Acronis true image 2017 PC Mobile backup for a few months now and from the phone side it looks to be working fine. But i have noticed my C drive is full but I have setup the mobile back to go to another drive.

So I have a 100gb C drive and a 200gb drive and I have configured Acronis to backup to this 200gb drive and I can see the 40gb file on that drive its a tibx file and I would guess that's my phone backup.

But in C:\Users\MyUsername\AppData\Local\Acronis\Acronis Drive\Galaxy Note 7 I can see many folders all containing my phone backups. I selected all those folders and checked the size it came to 1.2tb strange as all these files are on a 100gb C drive

Anyone else had this issue  ? I would prefer if all the files would be on the one drive. Can I remove these files on the C drive as windows update wont work because windows thinks the drive is full.

All of the above is a VM and my phone is a one plus 3t (Yes its renamed to a note 7)

Any help would be great or even why its doing this.

Thanks

Aaron

Aaron, welcome to these User Forums.

In my experience, the files / folders on your C: drive in the C:\Users\MyUsername\AppData\Local\Acronis\Acronis Drive\Galaxy Note 7 folder path are symbolic links to the data you have backed up to your 200GB drive, so they reflect the size of the target location but take up no space on C:

You should not attempt to delete the file / folders on C:
