Acronis True Image 2017 - windows not loading after system partition restore
Restore of system partition was completed from image created through ATI2017. However on starting the system after restore, I got the message in attached image.
During restore, I selected “Local Disk (C:) 200GB” as can be seen in the attached screenshot of ‘partitions to recover’ page.
For the system to load properly after restore, should I have selected the other 3 partitions as well (EFI System Partition 500 MB, Recovery Partition 750 MB & Recovery Partition 7.5 GB) or any of these 3? Or was there any other reason for the system not loading after restore?
My system is on Dell Inspiron 15 3542 laptop.

Thanks Steve.
I thought EFI System Partition and Recovery partitions should not be touched and hence I had not selected for restore.
The screenshot of partitions to recover page which I had attached to my previous post was when I restored the system partition from within running windows.
After your reply, I tried to restore the system partition from acronis rescue disc. Here I got an additional item listed on partitions to recover page (MBR and Track 0). The image is attached.
Please advise whether I should select all partitions listed, under both cases, restore from within running windows and restore from acronis rescue disc.
Also I would like to say here that I am disappointed with Acronis. I purchased ATI2017 in Feb-2017 under perpetual license. Around 1-Mar-2018, I encountered the error after restore (message attached to my previous post). When I contacted Acronis for support they said that the support period was over and I would need to purchase ATI2018 to get support.
You have referred to 'whole disk image' and 'individual partition' in you post. I presume 'whole disk' means the entire HDD with different partitions (c: system partition, d: my documents, e: other documents, and so on). If what I have presumed is correct, I need to say that I have taken acronis backup of only system partition. I have not taken acronis backup of other partitions on the same HDD.

Bipin, if you are restoring your backup from within a running Windows, then it should have been fine to just restore the Windows C: OS partition and leave the EFI and Recovery partitions as they are, as the assumption is that these are fine as they are and do not need to be replaced.
The key issue when recovering from within Windows is that ATI has to restart your computer from a temporary, Linux based boot environment in order to launch the Acronis offline application to perform the restore / recovery. If this change to the Boot Configuration Data is not undone to reinstate the settings that were originally set, this can give boot problems.
The above is why it is recommended to always perform this type of OS recovery using the Rescue Media as this avoids needing to touch the BCD store files & configuration.
At this point, I suspect the problem lies with the BCD data, so would recommend just restoring the EFI partition using the rescue media. (This is where the BCD is stored).
On the question about backing up the whole disk - if you suffer a hard drive failure then all partitions on that drive can be lost, so please ensure that you have backups of any data that you do not want to lose!
