Acronis True Image 2018 vs 2017 Comparison Review

Thread needs solution

Hey guys!

Has anybody tested the new 2018 yet? I know that it is still in beta but would like to know what are the main differences in comparison with 2017? Have searched the net and found some reviews here and here, it looks like that 2018 provides ransoware protection, faster file recovery with WAN optimization and perform conversion to VM. Share your experience with the new version please.

There is no much info regarding the new version of true image from Acronis, I think we should wait a month or so... Right now there are only 3 articles in acronis kb for 2018 ver.

Kraig, Karl, welcome to you both to these User forums.

ATIH 2018 is still in Beta test phase at this time with very little information available to the general public unless you signup to the Beta testing process which would give access to the Beta forums for the product.

Obviously, TI 2018 is available and I was wondering if anyone can comment on the differences between TI 2017 and TI 2018.  Basically, I would like to know if it's worth the upgrade price?  Thanks.

William, ATI 2018 has a number of key differences over previous versions, including 2017, these include changes to the main ATI GUI with additional information being displayed such as Activity history and a new Recovery display.

All versions of ATI 2018 now include the Acronis Active Protection ransomware protection that was a Premium feature of ATI 2017 New Generation.

Personally, I like and prefer the 2018 product but this is something that each user has to decide for themselves.
