Acronis UI doesnt open

Thread needs solution

I'm seeing an issue where Acronis UI doesnt open. I see in task manager that Acronis True Image 2017 is running, has been running for hours at constantly 10-12% utilization. However, the UI itself doesnt open, and I do not see any backup icon in the tray.

I see the following acronis processes running (image).

i would recommend performing a full shutdown of your system as a first step.  From al admin command prompt type:

shutdown /p /f

this will force close all running apps and fully shutdown the computer, then when restarted all applications that run on startup like TI will reload fresh.

Thank you for your suggestion, unfortunately it made no difference. When I try to open Acronis the task just keep running at 10%.

 

I recall something similar happening with an earlier version of ATI. Scheduled tasks would run, but we couldn't launch the ATI application to see the user interface. Let me see if I kept any notes from that.

Another suggestion is to locate the application in Windows Add/Remove Programs or Programs and Features (Windows 10), select the True Image application and select Uninstall.  In the resulting menu look for Repair.  If that option is present run the Repar option and see if that helps.

Please make sure that ATIH is running with Administrator privileges & permissions.  If going for a Repair install, then do this as Administrator.
