After Update ATI 2017 it does not start or start Backups
Yesterday ATI 2017 said there is an update and I let it install. Afterwards a restart was needed and since than ATI 2017 does not start anymore, Services are active in the background, and it does not start any Backups.
I can only start the program if I end all ATI Services first. Manually starting the Backups does not work.
Please what can I do? What is wrong with this Update?!
Here Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.
Thanks a lot!

Monti, is this an update just within ATIH 2017 or was it an update from an earlier version of ATIH?
If it is an update of just the 2017 version, then is this an in application update, i.e. an update announced when running the ATIH 2017 GUI?
Have you downloaded the latest build full installer from your Acronis account downloads page? Is this what you were using when you say that you tried to start the installation again and chose the Repair option?
If you have tried to install from the latest full installer, and still saw this problem, then I would recommend doing a clean install of the program.
First, make a backup of the C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\ Scripts and Database folders - these hold your backup task configuration (Scripts folder) and your backup history information (Database folder). Doing a clean install will cause all your scheduled tasks settings to be lost, so make a note of what these should be if possible.
Next, uninstall ATIH 2017 normally via the Windows Control Panel > Programs & Features > Uninstall option.
Download the Acronis Cleanup Tool (link in my signature) and run this as Administrator then restart the computer to complete the cleanup actions.
Finally, install ATIH 2017 from an Administrator level account and confirm that all is working. If all looks good, then copy back the Scripts folder contents to restore your backup task configuration. To restore the Database folder contents (for the task history) you need to first stop all Acronis Services then end all Acronis programs in order to remove any locks held on these files. Starting the main ATIH 2017 application will restart these services & programs after you have copied back the database files.

It worked thank you very much.
Just not the copying. For some reasons, even when the services were closed, I could not copy them. But at least the corrupt Update, ATI 2017, is now working.
Thanks.

Monti, glad that you have got ATI 2017 working OK. With the copying of the Database files, all the Acronis Services & Programs have to be stopped to avoid file locks, and must be stopped in that sequence, Services stopped first, then Programs ended, as otherwise, the active Services will restart the Programs automatically!
