ATI 2017 Cloud 3 comp + one more licence

Thread needs solution

Hi i have a question about licensing and Cloud sharing
I have ATI 2017 3 computers + 250GB Cloud Subscription, and I have need for one more computer now.
Can i Just buy ATI 2017 basic license with no cloud and use that cloud storage that i bought with ATI 2017 3 computers - 250GB Cloud?
Or I have to buy one more ATI 2017 with 250GB cloud? to make this work.

Hi Matija,

yes, you can buy just 1 basic license. You need to register this license in the Acronis account where your 3PC license and 250GB Cloud Subscription are registered. The cloud storage (250GB) will be available for all 4 machines using this account.

Just to clarify, you'd still need to purchase a standard subscription license though? No?

i can't see a perpetual license being able to use the subscription features without an issue, but perhaps I'm wrong. Seems like otherwise, I could buy one ng subscription for 1tb of space and numerous perpetual licenses but be able to share the 1tb of space. That's cool if it's allowed, but seems like a loophole that Acronis would want to close up.

There are product licenses and cloud storage licenses. Product licenses allow using the product on the specified number of machines (1/3/5). Cloud licenses allow all computers registered in 1 account use the specified amount of cloud storage.

To be able to use New Generation features on a machine, you need a New Generation subscription on this machine.

To be able to use cloud, you need a cloud storage subscription in your account.

Thank you for your quick response Julia.
I have yet antoher question now i have 3 computers and 250GB of cloud if i buy one more license with 1TB of cloud will i have 1.250TB of cloud? do they add up or how it is done?

what does that mean? that the liftime will be recalculated?
in what way?
i have now acronis true image 2017 3 computers + 250GB of cloud and it is valid till october of this year
if i purchuse one more license (1 computer) with 1TB of cloud in wich way it will recalculate?

Say, you have a 250GB subscriptions which is valid for 6 more months. You want to increase your storage and register a 1TB subscription (valid for 1 year) to get 1.25TB of cloud storage. The time cannot be just summed up, because it would be 18 months for 1.25TB, but none of the subscriptions offers this amount of cloud for 18 months. Which is why the lifetime of the resulting storage (1.25TB) will be recalculated, meaning will be less than a sum of both lifetimes. Proportionally means the lifetime is recalculated depending on the remaining days of the 1st subscription, the period of the 2nd subscription, and the resulting amount of storage. You will see the exact dates in your Acronis account once you specify your second cloud subscription.
