ATI logs after installing build 8029
I've noticed that build 8029 changed the format and location of the ATI service logs, that the new log viewer (https://forum.acronis.com/forum/128710) is needed to display the new log format, and that the new viewer cannot be used to display the old service logs but does display the directory list of the old logs. Is the old log reader going to stay available to read the old logs? And are there any old olgs other than service logs that have any value to users?

I will check this out tomorrow...
Patrick...My plan is to update the new log viewer to properly display the logs from build 8029. Like Ian, I was not aware that 8029 changed the format and location. This update will get the highest priority.

Randy, there is also a new ti_shell.log with both 6116 and 8029 that isn't offered in the log viewer - doesn't have a lot of useful content but would be good to be able to check it as Patrick has reported an issue with this growing due to lots of new entries being logged.

Patrick...the new log viewer (MVP Log Viewer.exe) does have the ability to view old logs. In the next version, the program will give the user the option of New Generation Mode or Legacy Mode when the program is launched. I will also add the ti_shell.log that Steve mentions above. The next version will have an imbedded update capability and automatic security features to ensure the program does not get corrupted in the download process.
As far as keeping logs from previous version, personally, I see no reason to keep any of them.

I also noticed that ti_console and ti_monitor logs in build 8029 are using the NG format.

Got the new version. Thanks.
BTW, the ti_monitor.0.log in the ti_monitor directory would be a handy one to format, but it stays open - I don't know if that presents a problem. Because it stays open it can't be opened by WordPad, but its contents can be copied and pasted into WordPad. Unfortunately, mine is getting to big to easily copy. (It's currently 4MB.)
