ATI2017 Installation Failed

Thread needs solution

Just purchased the ATI2017 license and use the web installer to download and install the client, everytime when it completed download and start the installation with progress bar, it just stop and return "Installation Failed"

As I did install ATI2014 before (free from WD ext. HDD), I did follow the steps here to perform cleanup and registry clean. Unfortunately, installation still failed after reboot.

Just uploaded the installation log, anyone encounter this issue before?

Billy, welcome to these user forums and thank you for the information provided, including that you have run the Acronis Cleanup Tool to remove the previous install of the OEM version of ATIH 2014.

I would recommend downloading the full ATIH 2017 build 5554 installer from your Acronis account instead of using the web installer.

I see errors in the install log that suggest something isn't right with the web installer:

1: `anonymous-namespace'::CompositeCheckerWithExistanceCheck::GetCachedPackage: Failed with error: Error 0xdc0017: Unable to get 'LocalPackage' for product with product code'{5E5999D7-85DD-4B82-B48B-5F60BDFAC502}'.

If you see the same problem with the full installer, first ensure that the file checksum is correct to show that it was downloaded without any corruption, if all looks good, then please open a support ticket direct with Acronis.

Steve, Thanks for your reply.

I just download and install the full installer and result show the same error. It seems the technical support is the only way I have now.

Billy, sorry to hear that, please let us know the outcome of your support ticket when you have submitted one for this issue.  It is always good to know the cause of these type of problems even though they are very rare.
