Automatic Renewal?
Hi Acronis forum, I have just received an email from Acronis stating an account has been created by Acronis using my old email address and two old products have been renewed using my credit card. The account did not even have a credit card associated with it and yet Acronis must have had record of my card number.
I am not sure what to do about this. Any advice on how to get my money back and to remove my card details so that Acronis can't do this again in the future?

Andrew, please open a Support Case direct with Acronis for this sensitive issue - they can verify both your Acronis account details, and the information held and any charges levied, plus refund any monies if this is needed.

Thanks Steve,
I have done so. I am just a bit shocked and thought I would share on here.
I will let you know of my progress.

Well! Good news. I just received an email from Acronis saying that I will be refunded. No mention of how it occurred or whether my credit card details have been deleted.
I am relieved though.

Andrew, that is good news - I have never had anything like this happen to myself but guess that most of my purchases have gone through a company like Cleverbridge (think that's the right name!) and I try to be careful to tick or untick the various boxes to avoid signing up for something I don't want!
