Backing up to a USB drive attached to a network access point

Thread needs solution

Tried to do this but asks for "credentials" (i.e. login and password) that are not set up.

I can access the drive and map it onto my pc without a problem.

Help?

David, welcome to these user forums.

As far as I am aware, Acronis will always ask for credentials for network drives.  Have you just tried entering any user name and a blank password given you say that there are no credentials setup?

Any chance you have mapped drives in Windows as well?  If so, I believe you would need to apply the patched files as there is a but in the current version with updating NAS credentials for an existing backup, or trying to connect to a NAS with a new backup, if mapped drives are being used.  This will cause an issue with NAS shares that are open as well.  Please apply the patched files, reboot and try again.
