Backup to the Cloud failed
My Options are:
In Schedule:
• For now I chose Do not schedule (I intend to change this soon.)
• In Notifications:
• I checked Send email notifications about the operation state.
• I set To: <<<intentionallly removed>>>
• I set Server settings to <<<intentionallly removed>>> and Port to 25
• I was able to send a test message. There was a green check mark showing that it had gone. It was received.
• In Advanced:
• In Computer shutdown:
• I accepted Stop all current operations when I shut down the computer
• I left Shut down the computer after backup is complete unchecked.
• In Acronis Cloud cleanup:
• I accepted Delete file versions that are older than 6 months and Store no more than 20 recent file versions.
• In Backup protection:
• I checked Use encryption for enhanced protection and entered <<<intentionallly removed>>> .
• In Performance and network:
• I accepted Priority Low
• I accepted Transfer rate Optimal
• In Data Center:
• I accepted data center location as United States
• I clicked on OK.
- I clicked on Backup Now. The progress bar showed. Transmission speed was 11.1 Mb/s.
ATI showed that the backup would end during the night, so I later checked Shut down the computer after backup is complete.
Next morning (this morning) the PC was shut down. I determined that my Internet connection had ceased after I quit for the night.
Backup continued, and completed. 96 GB were uploaded in about 8 hours.
• The backup ended at about 17:08.
• Last backup has been stopped. It will resume at 17:08 showed
• Scanning ... showed, then Backing up ...
• I clicked on Options. An error occurred either during connection or on the server. Check your Internet connection, or try again to sign out, restart the program and sign in again showed. The Event code was 0x01900009+0x01900001.
• I clicked on Knowledge Base. The Acronis website showed in Firefox, but even searching there for this error code produced no results. This shows that I did have an Internet connection.
• The last backup has failed showed.
• I exited ATI.
• I ran ATI again. There was a white X in a red circle between Entire PC and Acronis Cloud and on the PETRA Acronis Cloud icon.
• The size of the backup had shown as about 96 GB. Under Entire PC, 79.9 GB selected showed. Under Acronis Cloud, 170.1 GB of 250 GB free showed.
Suggestions?

Steve,
Many thanks . I have contacted Tech Support.
For the benefit of others, here is my log from this morning. It seems as though choosing Not scheduled was taken by ATI as something akin to Non-stop.
• I ran ATI. The last backup has failed showed. There was a white X in a red circle both between Entire PC and Acronis Cloud and on the PETRA Acronis Cloud icon.
• I clicked to close the message.
• I clicked on Options. An error occurred either during connection or on the server. Check your Internet connection, or try again to sign out, restart the program and sign in again showed. I clicked on More Details. The Event code was 0x01900009+0x01900001.
• I clicked on Knowledge Base. The following information will be sent via the Internet. Click OK to confirm. The data to be sent was:
Parameter name | Value |
---|---|
Platform type | Windows |
Platform architecture | 86 |
Platform kernel | 6.1.7601 |
Platform language | 0x409 |
Product name | Acronis True Image 2017 |
System manufacturer | ASUS |
System model | All Series |
Product version | 20.0.5554 |
Error code | 0x1900009+0x1900001 |
• I clicked on OK. kb.acronis.com opened in Firefox. There is no information about this error available now showed.
• I closed Firefox.
• Back in ATI, I clicked on Ignore. Four buttons were enabled: Options, Recover PC, Recover files and Backup Now. Clicking on PartDiff, a local backup made the main part of the window look normal, so local backups could be updated.
• I clicked on PETRA Acronis Cloud. The white Xs in red circles showed again.
• I clicked on Backup Now at 13:51. Connecting to Acronis Cloud showed, then Scanning then Backing up then 2m remaining then 3m remaining then 1m remaining then less than 1 minute. During the backup data selected increased
• At 14:00, The last backup has been stopped It wil resume at 14:00 showed, then disappeared. Scanning showed again, then Backing up.
• At 14:02, The last backup has been stopped It wil resume at 14:02 showed, then disappeared. Scanning showed again, then Backing up.
• I exited ATI.
• I shut down the PC. Acronis True Image is terminating the current operations ... showed. The PC then shut down.
I will report back what Tech Support has to say.

I have always used Not scheduled with my Cloud backups and have never had any problems with these. Nonstop has its own specific option and is not valid with Cloud as the destination.
Let us know what support comes up with.

After 2 hours of TeamViewer and phone, Tech Support decided that the installation was bad. ATI is working now. We will see whether this was the only problem.
