Backup failed, storage folder on device not found

Thread needs solution

Hello!!

 

I have True Image 2017 and since one month all my Backups failed. True Image says that no folders where found. But my USB HDD are working fine. I can recover files from my last backups. and the validation of the backups works fine.

Pleas help me, Acronis closed the Support for TI2017.

Thomas, welcome to these User Forums.

The first check here is to ask if the drive letter shown in ATI 2017 for your backup task is the same as that shown for your backup drive in Windows Explorer?

USB HDD drives can be given different drive letters if you have another USB device plugged in, i.e. a memory stick.  If this is the case, then I would recommend changing the USB HDD drive letter to a letter later in the alphabet using Windows Disk Management, i.e S,T,U etc.  You would need to reselect the Destination drive for your backup task after making that change.

If that hasn't helped here, then please download / use the MVP Log Viewer tool from the Community Tools link in my signature, and use this to check the messages written in the task logs for more detailed information on why the task is not finding your backup drive.

Your advice with changing the drive letter works! After i changed the destination folder everything works fine!
