Backups with VMware

Thread needs solution

I was curious if Acronis works with Vmwares. If I make a backup, it would be a .tib file? I just wanted to make sure when/if i need to recover it would keep my VMware settings and OS's safe and sound. I think it would but i just wanted to ask to make sure I understand completely.

I have backed up VM's with Acronis and restored physical backup .tibs to VM's without issue.  You should test to make sure it works as expected in your enviornment though.  You can grab a trial version, create a backup of the VM disk from within Windows, then create a new blank VM and boot to the mounted .iso recovery media and restore the backup to the new VM and make sure it recovers correctly.

Acronis also has specific VM backup solutions.. I have not used these for VM's though:
