Build 5554 - No Viewable Comments

Thread needs solution

Hi All,

If you work with Comments, hold off from installing the Update 1 Build 5554.

Picture speaks a thousand words.

The comments look to be working fine to me for ATIH 2017 build 5554 _ but _ you need to press the large enter key to cause new lines to be inserted which then will expand the depth of the letter box you showed in your screen capture.  See the screen shot from my system with a much more readable comments window.

Hi @ Steve Smith ,

I am not talking about entering the Comments, but viewing the Comments that had been entered for the Acronis Image when it was created. The Scroll Bar is too small.

See this attachment: Build 5534 with the same image loaded and readable.

And I don't type the Comments in, but paste the Comments in from a Notepad file.

No reason for the Comments Window to be that small.

When I look at comments these are all expanding to the size shown in the screen shot I posted, but this didn't happen initially until after I added the extra new lines.  At this point I don't see the very small scroll box even after shutting ATIH down and restarting it?

Hi Steve,

Try pasting these Acronis Comments into a new Test Image. Create the image, then while it isn't going to match what you have installed.

Attach the screenshot copy, as you did before and see what happens. Read the Comments  from the existing image. I created the screenshot, when Acronis True Image was maximized.

Done as requested, created a new simple backup task (files / folders) to a local destination, pasted in your comments from the PDF document then ran the backup.  Screen shot attached showing the comments in a box showing 6 lines of text.  Note: Acronis truncated the pasted text after the sentence: "Acronis True Image 2017 Build 5554 is installed and activated. Hauppaug"

Hi Steve,

I am using a Desktop Computer, with an LG 22" Widescreen and Intel Graphics in Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit Build 14393.189 operating system.

Build 5534 display is fine. Build 5554 Comments displayed are not fine.

The Build was the only change.

Seems to be a puzzle here. My system used for the test is a Dell Studio laptop with standard 15.6" display, running Windows 10 Home 64-bit with Anniversary Update 1607 and ATIH 2017 build 5554.  We have had some strange display issues with users with very high screen resolutions.

I would suggest opening a Support ticket with Acronis for this and send then an Acronis System Report referencing this forum post in the text data.

Hi Steve,

I have a Dell Laptop with a 17" Screen-size, I had did not upgrade to Build 14393.189. I am using Build 10586, because I record TV programs on it, using VisionTek HD 650 Tv Tuner USB Device. The Drivers were never upgraded for Windows 10 by ATI or AMD.

I need to buy a http://www.hauppauge.com/site/products/data_hvr1955.html

WinTV-HVR-1955

On the Desktop Computer, I have the LG Monitor connected to the Computer via the VGA Computer Cable, not HDMI Cable.

I did send Feedback from within the program, itself, with PrtScrn Snapshots showing the problem, and with the Acronis System Report, prior to posting here.
