Cannot Access Backup Images (TIB)

Thread needs solution

Since installing 2017, I cannot access my 2016 or my 2017 backup images.

When I double-click on a TIB, the password prompt screen appears, I respond to the prompt, and then the Windows Explorer green progress bar slowly moves from right to left until it reaches the far left and then seemingly remains at that point forever.

Acronis level is 2017 Home Edition with most current update applied yesterday evening - 4/30/2017. This problem also occurred with the initial Acronis 2017 release.

When I re-launch Aconis as the Administrator and after responding to the security prompt, Acronis does not start.

A review of the Iolo log in Windows event viewer indicates several Event IDs 401, 402, 406, and 407 with a source of Governor and the following descritption:

"The description for Event ID 401 from source Governor cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer."

Windows version and level is 7 EE SP1 64-bit.

Any guidance is most appreciated.

I would suggest that you go to the Acronis Support page and login to your account.  Download the latest installer file for your 2017 product there and once download is complete right click on the file and choose Run as Administrator.  You should get an option menu to Install or Repair.  Run the Repair option and see if things improve for you.
