Cannot access True Image backups on WD MYCLOUD

Thread needs solution

Hello all,

I have been saving my Acronis True Image 2017 Back ups on NAS via WD Mycloud.  When I use the Acronis recovery software (via USB), it does not recognize the NAS.  It does ask me for a 20 digit ID as well as a Read/Wride code.  I have looked all over my WD Mycloud documentation and IP accessed info and cannot locate either if these.

Thanks all

Anthony, welcome to these User Forums.

I am not sure that I understand your initial statement: "I have been saving my Acronis True Image 2017 Back ups on NAS via WD Mycloud."

Are you selecting the NAS as the Destination for your Acronis backups in the main ATI GUI, or are you moving those backups manually via some other steps to get them to the NAS?

The only WD NAS devices that I have / use are some years old and are in the MyBook range that either connect via USB or RJ45 network cable, but I can access these in the main ATI GUI and select them as my Destination for backups.  I don't tend to use them very much these days as I have a larger, more recent Synology NAS as my main storage destination (along with local backup devices and Cloud backup).

If your WD NAS is accessible in the ATI 2017 Windows application, then providing you are on a wired network connection when booted from the Acronis USB Rescue Media, you should be able to connect to the same NAS via that media too.
